ACT was placed throughout the office space to decrease noise levels and disruptions.

Acoustic Ceiling Tiles for Noise Reduction

Over a six week span, our team installed 2’x2′ and 2’x5′ Armstrong CALLA ceiling tiles on 15/16″ Prelude Grid. This covers about 13,720 square feet which allows for sound absorption throughout the span of the building. With an NRC of 0.85, these ceiling tiles improve the soundscape in a large area by bringing noise to a minimum. ACT is commonly used in offices, schools, and even hospitals since it is a high-density product that tackles noise problems.

Specialty Ceilings for Sound Clarity

Additional acoustic treatment for the ceilings included the installation of 185 speciality ceiling baffles designed by Kirei. Duke Energy selected navy colored baffles that range in size to add dimension to the surrounding areas. It is made of 100% PET felt material and works extremely well for reducing echo. Kirei Simple Baffles+ bring a modern and sophisticated touch to an open space, so people often confuse it as decoration!

Installing Kirei ceiling baffles is an aesthetic way to minimize echo while maintaining a sleek appearance.

Benefits of Acoustic Fabric Wall

We also installed our stretched fabric wall throughout the North Point Building, covering 2646 sq ft. It is a floor-to-ceiling wall design ranging in 1″, 2″, or 4″ thickness. Duke Energy selected the 1″ thick option as it was desirable for the selected space. Acoustic fabric wall thrives in environments where echo is present, with an absorptive material that works to decrease reverberation time.
