Lakes Church underwent a major renovation process and contacted our team for acoustical treatment. This included fully refurbishing the worship auditorium and common area, as well as the nearby academy. We installed several forms of treatment including acoustic ceiling tile, wall panels, and stretched fabric wall. The combination of multiple products covered up to 98,000 sq ft of the space, which allowed for an impressive transformation of Lakes Church. With an intensive renovation process and the addition of our products, Lakes Church will notice incredible results that allow them to successfully carry out worship services.
Acoustic Ceiling Tile and Panels for Auditorium Enhancement
Acoustic ceiling tile is installed in many establishments like schools and offices as a means for standard noise reduction. It is extremely common for ACT to be found in auditoriums as well, as it is typically preferred over other ceiling types. Our team installed 2’x2′ Dune ceiling tiles on 15/16″ prelude grid throughout the whole auditorium. Not only does this hide wires and exposed beams, but acoustic ceiling tile will reduce any loud sound transmissions that may occur during worship services. Additionally, decorative ceiling panels can be placed over acoustic ceiling tile for clients that are interested in aesthetic spaces. Though, Lakes Church felt that the ACT looked great on its own and opted into using other decorative forms of acoustic treatment.
Acoustic wall panels are a fabric-wrapped solution for noise reduction. 2″ thick panels were selected and placed on all existing walls within the worship auditorium. The panels limit the amount of echo within a space as sound is easily absorbed by the material. Products like this one are crucial to use in large open spaces like an auditorium so that speech is intelligible. We also installed stretched fabric wall, a floor-to-ceiling sound absorption product.
