Commercial Acoustics Hosts Networking Happy Hour

Happy Hour 2

Commercial Acoustics hosted a Happy Hour at Coppertail Brewery to commemorate the 1-year anniversary of our newest soundproofing division, and to highlight a number of successes over the past 12 months, including:

  • Closed Funding: We closed a growth equity round with Baldwin Beach Capital which has allowed us to expand into new markets in numerous major cities around the country
  • Launched New Division: Starting with Residential Acoustics’ soundproofing curtains, we’ve added a number of new product lines including Acoustical Absorption, Sound-Blocking Membranes, Sound Masking Cover, and Acoustical Consulting – a capability we shorten to ABC2
  • Distribution Agreement with Manufacturing Partners: We’ve reached an exclusive distribution agreement for our soundproofing membranes
  • Growth and New Hires: We’ve doubled in size over the past 2 years, bringing on new Sales and Product Development staff. We’ve just passed our first $1M in sales as a company, and hope to continue our growth in years ahead.

I like that you talked about acoustical consultants in your article, and how they helped to shorten ABC. I think that finding some acuostical consultants for our church building to help us with sound blocking would be really helpful. I know there has to be ways that we can improve the acoustical quality in the church, and having some help from consultants would be really helpful!

Hi Max, thank you for reaching out. I apologize for the delayed response. We have worked with many different types buildings that have high levels of reverberation, including churches. You can check out this graphic we created showing the reverberation times of different types of buildings and you will see churches are on the top.

Sound blocking is very helpful in keeping amplified noise, caused by reverberation, from traveling into private rooms and becoming a significant distraction. Our team of acoustical consultants have years of experience working with these types of noise problems and would be happy to offer you more information on your specific needs. Feel free to call 888-815-9691 or email info@commercial-acoustics.com to get in touch with one of our specialists.
