Commercial Acoustics was contracted by Gates Construction to install acoustic treatment at the Broken Sound Country Club in Boca Raton, FL. This included the placement of acoustical stretched fabric material along the ceilings in multiple areas. Installing this kind of material is perfect for minimizing excess noise in large spaces, creating a comfortable environment for country club members.
Stretched Fabric Ceilings As a Sound Absorption Method
We installed our 1” stretched fabric Ekko Eraser throughout the clubhouse, main dining room, and sports bar. This material has a high NRC rating of 0.8, which means that 80% of the sound created in a given area will be absorbed. By installing the stretched fabric material onto the ceilings, it works as an absorber to prevent sound waves from reverberating throughout a space. Its 6 pcf fiberglass core guarantees that the ceilings will maintain durability and work effectively to absorb loud noises.
This installation was necessary in providing guests with a better experience as the areas are now echo-free, improving the clarity of conversations and minimizing the noises of people moving around.
