Tampa – Commercial Acoustics, soundproofing company and developer of the award-winning Wall Blokker, today announced the move of its headquarters to 6122 Benjamin Road, Tampa, FL 33634 near the Tampa International Airport.
After 5 years of growth while operating near downtown Tampa, the company has outgrown its 4,500 square foot production facility. The company employees 13 employees in the Southeast United States, including a regional office in New Orleans, and satellite offices in Chicago and Boston.
Focusing on acoustic and soundproofing solutions, the firm has made improvements in noise attenuation technologies. Specifically, its flagship product “Wall Blokker” is used to improve sound ratings in wall assemblies for hotels, apartments, movie theaters, and a variety of other applications.
The team of acoustic specialists also provides acoustic solutions for restaurants, worship spaces, schools, and more. Relying on their combined technical and engineering expertise, the team analyzes architectural drawings and existing spaces for sound and noise issues.
The new agreement, brokered by Thomas Grandoff, is in terms with the Eastlake Group, and will see the company grow for the next 5 years. Walker Peek, president of the company, says that he expects a marked improvement in efficiency and quality in the new facility which is nearly three times the square footage of their downtown space.
Commercial Acoustics also continues to streamline their production efforts, with an emphasis on reduced carbon footprint and enhanced recyclability of their manufacturing operations. Many of their raw materials, including fabric, vinyl, fiberglass, and wood, have been recycled and returned to their initial manufacturers, reducing waste and associated disposals costs.
